About Plant Cells

I have always been interested in trees, ever since my childhood or teenage years.

They were a constant presence during my vulnerable times,

and I never got bored of observing them.

As I grew up, this small enjoyment and interest turned into a curiosity about life and energy in general.

I became intrigued by how their ecosystem is quiet and serene, unlike ours,

and I had precious moments of insight about the properties of life and the rules of nature.

My desires and interests have always evolved with me,

and I will always search for answers to new curiosities and passions.

To fend off predators, plants have evolved in modular forms,

and they are vital organisms for the survival of humans and animals.

They adapt to the surroundings in response to stimuli,

and form unique, mystic networks of cells that reveal the order in nature.

Even though they are mostly stationary, they have dominated vast areas on earth with their outstanding adaptability,

and they continue to do so.

I believe that the vitality inside tiny plant cells can serve not only as a physical driving force for plants,

but also as a mind force that can touch our hearts.

To convey this, I reinterpreted the structure, arrangement, and color of the plant cells, focusing on the features within the unseen areas of a life form.

Through this works,

I invite you to appreciate the beauty of the flexible yet firm textures of plants,

experience a new perspective of seeing plants as ceramic sculptures,

and think about the energy of nature,

which lies in between the unseen realms, rather than the visible ones.
